Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code allows employees to pay for eligible benefits with pretax dollars. Certain insurance premiums, healthcare expenses and dependent care expenses are eligible for this benefit. Each client executes an adoption agreement co-sponsoring a tailor made plan for their employees.
The following plans are eligible for pre-tax payment:
- Insurance premiums can be deducted from the employee's check.
- A medical reimbursement account may be used to pay for: deductibles, co-pays and other healthcare expenses not paid by insurance.
- A dependent care account may be used to pay for dependent care expenses such as day care and summer camp.
