A-1 provides an array of HR services to our clients. A-1 is an employer of record and shares employee management responsibilities with its clients. A-1 is responsible for: the payment of wages, all payroll-related taxes and tax reporting, employment-related regulatory compliance, unemployment claims adjudication, workers’ compensation and risk management, OSHA reporting compliance, human resources and benefits administration. A PEO provides personnel administrative outsourcing to its clients. The client company is the worksite employer and bears the responsibility and liability associated with managing worksite employees. The PEO is the administrative employer responsible for maintaining personnel records and the payment of wages and taxes. Human resource services, employee benefits, government compliance services, safety consulting and workers’ compensation are typically provided as additional benefits and services.
